Welcome Women's History Month

Hi All,

Please join me in welcoming Salman to the khushdc-govern group! Salman recently moved to the DC area. Some of you met him last weekend at Rehan's home during Chat-N-Chai.

Mind you, this Salman is different from the Salman featured in Harjant Gill's documentary, "Milind Soman Made Me Giggle Giggle". If I were a believer, I would have added, "And thank God for that!" But being a devout atheist, I shall say no such thing.

On a different note, I liked Dan's email and his ideas. I too think we should keep TWO awards rather than just one: one for an in-towner and another for an out-of-towner. I agree that allotting a longer time to the discussion/dialog during the event will attract fewer people to the event.

One way to get around it is to proclaim that the event will be from time X to time Y, but keep the venue booked for 1 or 2 hours beyond Y. Y would we do that? So we can let the event overrun its allotted time and the discussions and dialogs can go on and on, much to everyone's delight.

I also humbly propose that we change the event's name to Womens' History Aphrodisiac Month. There. Wham, WHAM!
